Today, your safari adventure begins with a pickup from your Arusha hotel to enjoy a scenic 2.5-hour drive through stunning landscapes and local villages. Spend the day exploring Tarangire National Park, home to vast elephant herds, towering baobabs and rare tree-climbing pythons. As the evening falls, head to Africa Safari Manyara Escarpment, where a safari tent awaits. Cool off with a refreshing swim in the pool before relaxing under the African night sky.
Today, we head to Lake Manyara National Park, a hidden gem celebrated for its dramatic scenery and rich wildlife. Think panoramic views, cascading waterfalls, clear babbling streams and bubbling hot springs. On your full-day game drive, keep your eyes open for tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, and a dazzling variety of birdlife along the lake’s edge. As the day winds down, we’ll continue to Africa Safari Manyara Escarpment, where comfort and relaxation await after your adventure.

Today is your cultural adventure! You can relax at the lodge pool and join a tour to meet the Hadzabe and Datoga at Lake Eyasi. You can follow the Hadzabe as they demonstrate hunting and foraging in the Eyasi Valley. Your guide will share their stories and insights, giving you a unique, firsthand experience of one of Africa’s last hunter-gatherer communities and their traditional way of life.

Africa Safari Karatu Lodge
Explore the Ndutu area of the southeastern Serengeti, alive with wildlife year-round. Between December and April, wildebeest and zebras gather, and in January and February, around 8,000 calves are born daily. Spot lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas hunting, while other grazers protect their young. Birdwatchers can enjoy colourful species, including Fischer’s lovebird. Witness predator-prey dynamics and abundant wildlife in this iconic safari region. In the evening, unwind at Africa Safari South Serengeti and reflect on the unforgettable moments of your Serengeti adventure.

After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact caldera and home to around 30,000 large mammals. Within its natural borders, you’ll encounter the Big Five, including the rare black rhino, alongside zebras, wildebeests, elephants, and more. The crater offers one of Africa’s best wildlife-viewing experiences. In the evening, retreat to Africa Safari Karatu, a serene lodge perfectly located to take in the exceptional beauty of the Ngorongoro Highlands.

All good things end! Enjoy your last meal at Africa Safari Karatu prior to checking out, ready for your journey to Arusha. After meeting your driver-guide at the reception, you will head off on an easy 2-hour drive back to where it all started. Drop-off is in Arusha or at Arusha Airport; an additional transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport can be arranged for an additional cost.
